I had an urgent parcel sent over from Manila to Zamboanga last Sunday through LBC Express. They're a local courier with a fairly good reputation. I was really in a bit of a bind so I got them instead of my preferred OCS/Republic Courier service, another courier which I find more reliable and pleasing to deal with - except they don't have as many outlets in Metro Manila.
At any case, I expected the package to arrive yesterday because it missed the cut-off time by an hour, and should be included in their next batch of shipment the following day.
LBC has an online parcel tracker service, unfortunately its useless. Trying it out yesterday morning, it didn't even tell me where the package was and I only got the following "information":

Same thing happened when I checked the status late afternoon yesterday.
At around 5 o'clock, I decided to call up their local branch to inquire. I was told that my package was included among a batch that was off-loaded a commercial flight for some reason or another. And that maybe I will get the package tomorrow.
I asked why their tracker service didn't reflect the information and was told that he had no idea. That it's their IT department's concern and not theirs. Talk about customer empathy.
Tried the tracker again today but got the same "information" I got yesterday. Very helpful.
Wow! What happened to "Fast & guaranteed 24-hour delivery for packages" they got plastered all over their marketing materials and website?
I wrote them an email to complain but have yet to receive a reply. Not even a reply from an automated responder.
56 hours later, in Earth time, the package finally arrived.
Somewhere, probably in parallel dimension, they can claim that it was delivered in 24 hours - as guaranteed!
